I’m Nick Rinaldi, a student-athlete at Vanderbilt University, balancing the demands of Division I football with my academic pursuit of a degree in Economics and a Master of Science in Finance. I’ve always believed that success comes from discipline, resilience, and surrounding myself with the right people—values that drive me both on and off the field.
Football has shaped me into the person I am today, teaching me the importance of leadership, preparation, and adaptability. As a linebacker for the Commodores, I take pride in being a leader, a competitor, and someone my teammates can count on.

2024 Season: Played in all 12 games, recorded 52 tackles, 6 sacks (most by a Commodore since 2017), and 2 fumble recoveries
Earned a full scholarship after my freshman season

Academics & Professional Experience
I take my academics just as seriously as I do football. I’m on an accelerated three-year undergraduate track, earning my B.A. in Economics with a minor in Business while simultaneously pursuing my Master’s in Finance at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
Beyond the classroom and the field, I’ve gained valuable experience in finance and business:
Summer Intern, Blue Star Innovation Partners (Private Equity)
Built financial models (DCF, LBO) and worked with C-suite executives to analyze potential acquisitions.

Launched and managed a landscaping and automotive detailing business, employing 25+ workers and overseeing a five-figure revenue stream.
Beyond Football
While football is a huge part of my life, I believe in always pushing myself to grow in new ways. Whether it’s analyzing investments, developing leadership skills, or mentoring younger teammates, I thrive in competitive, high-pressure environments. I’m always looking for ways to improve—both as an athlete and as a person.
